Using Kimbell’s compositional skills and Williams’ poetic skills, the two men decided to collaborate on a miniature “War Requiem,” and “Front Line” was born. “Front Line” premieres Sunday, June 8, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1111 O’Farrell St., San Francisco. The event, which runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., also features the SF Sinfonietta Orchestra and Chorus presentation of Johannes Brahms’ great choral masterwork “Ein Deutsches Requiem.” Soloists are soprano Madison Emery Smith and baritone John Bischoff.
